Don't know how much more I can take!!!

Well again, NO NEWS. I don't know how much more of this I can take! I thought for sure that we would get THE CALL yesterday. But no, and there is no sign of referrals right now. I checked RQ site and it is said that referrals may have been mailed and should be expected thursday, and other agencies have said that referrals have NOT been mailed yet. It is just so frustrating when you don't know anything!!! So the wait continues...

I am trying my best to put my disappointment behind me and to have a fun Halloween with the girls. I don't want to damper their fun. So instead of showing off my pictures of Sophia, I will be showing off my two adorable girls. Olivia is going to be Cinderella this year and Chloe is going to be a ladybug (original, I know!). So I will be going around the neighborhood with my princess and my ladybug. : ) We are then going to my parents house to hang out with them and relax before the fire and eat candy corn, popcorn, caramel apples, pumpkin bread and all sorts of other good stuff.

I'm doing my best to put on a "happy face." I know that Alec is just as frustrated during this wait as I am but he just puts on a better "act" than me. You'd think I'd be good at it the 3rd time through. After all I did wait over 14 months for Olivia's referral and only 7 months for Chloe's. I guess I was hoping for a "Chloe referral wait" this time around rather than an "Olivia referral wait."

Happy Halloween everyone and I'll post information as soon as I know something.

No referrals..... : (

No Referrals Today - : - (

Fri Oct 27, 2006 10:03 am (PST)

Hi August 2005 LIDers,

I have not read my emails yet, so this may be old news. We did not receive anything from the CCAA today. I went into a meeting with a family at 9:30 this morning and I just came out at 11:55. Take a deep breath, accept a cyber hug, and rest up for next week. We know that the matches have been made, so it is just a matter of time and your referrals will arrive.

This was posted on the CHI yahoo group yesterday afternoon. I was REALLY hoping to receive "THE CALL" sometime yesterday. I really thought that it was the day. Well, here I am. Sitting at my computer on saturday evening without my referral. It is SO hard waiting! The girls are over visiting Grandma today and Alec is running some errands. I'm not in the mood to really do anything. So.... here is hoping to monday. Will October 30th be the big day?! I only pray that it is so. We just MUST receive our referral before the Halloween festivities on tuesday. I will really be a party pooper trick-or-treating if I dont have Sophie's referral by then and that just isn't fare to Olivia and Chloe. So I REALLY am praying for a referral monday. Where is my Sophia?! I just want to know where she is and WHO she is!!! After almost 15 months of waiting, I'M READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep me in your prayers this weekend and that I stay sane. Actually, it may be better to pray for Alec, Olivia and Chloe who have to put up with me.....

No news yet

I have had many emails from all of you asking if we had heard anything yet, and unfortinately, no we haven't. Will this be the week, we have no idea. It should if we have been going according to the past few months of referrals, but I am trying not to get my hopes up. I called CCAA and of course they aren't telling us anything. That is probably good as they don't give out rumors. However at this point, I need any rumors that I can get!!! I just want SOMETHING to go on!!! So will this be the week that we get to "meet" sweet Sophia?! I have no idea. I'm praying that it is and I know that my family is as well because I am driving them crazy!!!

Olivia and Chloe are doing well. They keep me pretty busy which is good. I'm trying to find a good picture of the two of them to post. I will try and get it up later tonight. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! I hope the wait is almost over!!!

Welcome to our blog for Sophia!!!

Hello and welcome to our blog! We are Alec and Julie Klein and we have two beautiful daughters from China and are waiting for our third! We adopted our first daughter, Olivia Wu Han, on November 18, 2002 from the Jingdezhen SWI in the province of Jiangxi in China. She was born on March 9, 2002 and was 8 months when she was placed in my arms for the first time. Ever since the beginning, I knew that I would adopt a second daughter from China and a sister for Olivia. Well, I then began the paperchase just 6 months after coming home from China in June 2003 to bring home Livie's sister. I was LID for Chloe just after Livie's 1 year adoption day on November 20, 2003. I then waitied 7 months and received my referral for Chloe Li Quan. Chloe was born on August 27, 2003 and was residing in the Huangmei SWI in the province of Hubei. We were united with our daughter on August 1, 2004 and Chloe had just turned 11 months.

I then thought that our family was complete, however Alec had other intentions. After we had been home for about 2 months with Chloe, Alec asked me, "when are we starting the paperchase for our 3rd daughter?!" So.... once again, we began the paperchase in April 2005 for Livie and Chlo's youngest (and most likely last) sister. We have received a LID of August 11, 2005, which is just a little over a year after Chloe's adoption. However, unfortinatley the wait for referrals has DRASTICALLY increased and we are still waiting for Sophia's referral. We have been logged in for over 14 months now and we are VERY anxious to see Sophie's precious face. We are expecting our referral within the next few weeks. We are hoping for next week!

Olivia, 4 1/2, and Chloe, 3, have kept me very busy during this wait for their baby sister. With me working part time and running the girls to preschool and daycare, it has been very hectic. However, my last day of work is Halloween and then I am taking off for a few years to be with the girls. I am very excited about that. I am going to be an adoptive representative in our area through our agency (CCAI) and I can do that from home and is very part time. I'm extremely excited about it.

I hope to be posting some information about Sophie in the next few days. Thanks for following along in our blog!
